Set up Bing Webmaster Tools (step by step)

Import your site from Google in a few clicks and see your Bing, Yahoo and DuckDuckGo search data in SEOFIX.

Bing Webmaster Tools is Microsoft's free equivalent of Google Search Console — and Bing also powers results on Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. If you've set up Google Search Console, Bing takes about 5 minutes. Open your site, then Bing Webmaster Tools in the sidebar.

Step 1: Sign in to Bing Webmaster Tools

Bing also powers results on Yahoo and DuckDuckGo. It's free, and you don't need a new account — sign in with your Google account.

  1. 1Go to bing.com/webmasters.
  2. 2Click Get started (or Sign in).
  3. 3Choose Google and sign in with the same Google account you use for Search Console. (Microsoft or Facebook accounts work too.)

Step 2: Import your site from Google (verifies it automatically)

If you finished the Google Search Console setup, Bing can copy your site and sitemap from Google — no verification step.

  1. 1On the Add your site screen (or My Sites), click Import under Import your sites from GSC.
  2. 2Click Continue, choose your Google account and click Allow.
  3. 3Tick yourbusiness.com in the list and click Import.
No Google Search Console? Use Add your site manually instead: enter your address, choose HTML Meta Tag, and add the tag to your homepage (SEOFIX can add it for you if your site is connected with the WordPress plugin or Next.js add-on).

Step 3: Connect Bing to SEOFIX (1 minute)

SEOFIX checks your site is verified, submits your sitemap if it's missing, and shows your Bing clicks and searches here.

  1. 1In Bing Webmaster Tools, click the Settings (gear) icon at the top right, then API Access.
  2. 2Accept the terms if asked, then click API Key → Generate API Key.
  3. 3Click Copy, paste it below and click Connect.
The API key belongs to your Bing login and works for all your sites. You can delete it in Bing at any time to disconnect SEOFIX.

How long until you see results

  • Site verified: Immediately when imported from Google
  • Sitemap processed: Hours to a few days
  • First search data: Up to 48 hours after adding your site
  • New or fixed pages picked up: A few days to a few weeks
SEOFIX uses your API key only to read your Bing data and to submit your sitemap if Bing doesn't have it. Delete the key in Bing (Settings → API Access) or click Disconnect in SEOFIX to stop at any time.
